TARAN CHUN, Ed. D., KSK 1995 is Po’o Kula of the Kapālama campus. A native of Wahiawā, Dr. Chun is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where in 2001 he earned a B.S. in Physical Education Pedagogy, K–12 and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership in 2004. In 2011, he earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Utah. Dr. Chun and his wife, Nizhoni, along with their five keiki will reside on campus in Hale Pelekikena.

EARL T. KIM is the first with the title “Head of School” at this historical campus. Mr. Kim is the 8th executive since the Girls first moved to Kapālama in 1931 from the original Kaiwi’ula campus near Bishop Museum.

MICHAEL CHUN Ph.D., KSB 1961, has the unique title of “President and Headmaster of Kamehameha Schools” reflecting changes in the organization of the Schools. He is honored with firsts. Dr. Chun is the first alumnus to be President of Kamehameha Schools. He is the last President of the Schools when it changes to a non-profit corporation headed by a CEO in 2000. As the first Headmaster, Dr. Chun presides over the historical Kapālama campus which contains the primary educational facilities since moving from Kaʻiwiula beginning in 1931.

SCOTT PARKER, Ed.D. is the third Head of School for the Maui campus. Dr. Parker is a graduate of Maui High School, The University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. In 2014, Dr. Parker received his Education Doctorate from the University of Southern California.
