Honoring our Heroes! A truly special day at Kamehameha Schools Kapālama as the Pauahi Foundation hosted a meaningful Veterans Lunch! They were warmly greeted by Poʻo Kula Waiʻaleʻale Arroyo and engaged in meaningful dialogue with approximately 25 student leaders and haumāna interested in military careers. Lunch was a comfort food favorite: classic shepherd’s pie, followed by a choice of peach cobbler or an imua brownie for dessert. Mahalo nui loa for your courage, commitment, and service to our distinguished alumni! Your dedication is an inspiration to all of us.
Disney’s Frozen, The Broadway Musical is an award-winning stage adaptation of the beloved animated film. It features the film’s classic songs, such as “Let It Go,” plus a dozen new songs written for the stage by the film’s composers, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Don’t miss the Performing Arts Department and Keaka’s stunning production November 14 - 16 and 21 - 23! It’s an enjoyable musical theater experience for the whole family!
Hoʻomaikaʻi to our two KS Kapālama students who are Coca-Cola Scholar semifinalists - Kahiau Okouchi (left) and Sahana Ahmed (right). The Coca-Cola scholars program is an achievement based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and community 150 Coca-Cola scholars are selected each year to receive the $20,000 scholarship.
On October 31, 2025, our Kamehameha Schools Kapālama ʻohana — more than 3,200 haumāna and 800 kumu and staff — gathered in unity for a paikau honoring Ke Aliʻi Bernice Pauahi Bishop and her enduring legacy. It was on this day in 1883 that Pauahi signed her will, establishing Kamehameha Schools and ensuring that generations of Native Hawaiian learners would have the opportunity to thrive. Today, we came together to celebrate her vision, honor her generosity, and renew our commitment to uplifting her legacy for generations to come.
