The Taste of Kalihi Market celebrates all things love this February with Kapālama Kai

Kapālama Kai and Kamehameha Schools are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Taste of Kalihi Market, slated to take place at Dillingham Plaza on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This vibrant market will showcase the diverse offerings of more than 30 esteemed local vendors, spotlighting a delectable assortment of culinary creations, refreshing beverages, high-quality prepackaged goods, unique retail finds, and much more.

The Taste of Kalihi Market promises to celebrate community, culture, and cuisine, inviting residents and visitors alike to experience the rich flavors and vibrant spirit of Kalihi.
“As a Kalihi-born and raised entrepreneur and small business owner, I wanted to create a venue for our community to show their love to local businesses,” said Meghan Ofagalilo, founder of the Taste of Kalihi Market and owner of @madeby_megz, a dessert company known for their kalo (taro) crunch. “We’re excited to return to the Taste of Kalihi Market just in time for Valentine’s Day.”
Adding to the 30 vendors, this Taste event includes Taco Kellz, The Munchie Machine, Perefoti Island Fixx, The Porkhash Factory, and Papa Laulauz. Visitors to the market will be treated to a lineup of music performances by local artists, including Mika Madali, a Kalihi-born entertainer.
“We are delighted to see the ongoing growth of the Taste of Kalihi Market,” said Bobbie Lau, senior asset manager at Kamehameha Schools. “Local small businesses are the backbone of the Kapālama-Kalihi area, and the success of the Taste of Kalihi in bringing together the community exemplifies the innovative spirit of Kapālama Kai.”
