On the last day of Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, we take a look at the journey of a few Kamehameha Schools Kapālama haumāna who are deepening their understanding through a fully immersive ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi Marine Science class led by Kumu Bethany Kimokeo.In this special papa, students like Hauʻolikeola Walker (Papa 11) and Kahiau Paik (Papa 12) are not only learning about the ocean—they are doing so entirely in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, combining ʻike kūpuna with modern science.Their journey recently took them to Pūnana Leo o Nuʻuanu, where they shared hands-on learning activities with younger kaiapuni haumāna.E ola mau ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi!#mahinaolelohawaii #imuakamehameha #punanaleo #olelohawaii
